Nice collection. As much as I admire the ZL1 and what it represents I think I’d be happier piloting the Z4 or BRZ. Something that won’t kill me when I mash the gas pedal .

We’ll have to meet up out there one of these days. The Wichitoppos have been discussing another trip.

The Z4 is supercharged and track-prepped and an absolute beast.
The BRZ hung tight behind me in the M3 and the Shelby, even in the sections where we could really hammer down. Light makes right!
I’ll own one some day.

Was great. Add in good food and beer/bourbon in the evening, and poker into the night. Been going twice a year with this group of guys for about a decade.

Ahh yeah I loved those roads on my cross country trip in the Miata! It was so worth spending an entire day in Arkansas dedicated to driving those roads. I was not expecting it to even be interesting at all since I just thought Arkansas was part of “boring flyover country”. But man that was probably one of the highlights of the entire trip. I made full use of my 6 point harness during that day and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I basically did the same route as you but in reverse and ended up at a camp ground off of 23. Spent my second day hiking all day but definitely debated just driving all day again. Thankfully the rain decided the day for me and I had a wonderful and difficult 14 mile hike. Just so much great terrain in that area of the country!

Awesome - seriously amazing place for someone who loves driving, and very much a “hidden gem”, unknown by most. Looking forward to spending more time other there this summer, getting to know some of the unpaved roads in my Tacoma, and doing some hiking and camping with the family.

It was wild to me how many dirt roads there were. I took my Miata down one for a solid 15 or so miles that took nearly 45 minutes to make it to my campsite via that road. It was entertaining seeing the perplexed looks from people in their big trucks as I drove by in a lowered Miata with NJ plates.

Glad more people are enjoying the ozarks, some of the best country for riding/driving. Im still finding new places to go in my own back yard.

It’s a (mostly) hidden gem, for sure. The state does an admirable job of keeping the roads in good condition in the parts we run. Love having a speed rating on every turn, too. They clearly know lots of tourism dollars depend on it!

Agreed, i pretty m uch ignore those on a bike though, but they give a nice warning when your doing 55 and a blind corner is rated at 15.

That usually about right. Theres a few roads that have a late apex, that will ruin you around here though. Theres one just outside Eureka that almost laid my bike down, ultra late blind hairpin with a second late apex. It said 15 and i can barely hit 18 around it. Scared the hell out of me the first time. Be safe,
If you see a KTM 390 Duke knee dragging next time your in the area wave hi!
